INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. almond extract
3 ½ cups flour
Frosting
Sprinkles
Parchment paper

Temperature: 375°
Time: 1 hour 30 min
Servings: 2 doz.

Recipe
Blend butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
Add sugar, egg, and extracts and mix until well combined, light and fluffy.
Mix in remaining dry ingredients and blend into the creamed mixture.
Chill for 1 hour.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Roll out dough on a floured surface until it’s no less than ¼ inch thick. (Rolling thinner will lead to dry cookies that break apart.)
Cut with desired cookie cutter shape and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Do not leave in longer as cookies continue to bake on the pan and you don’t want them hard. If they harden when cooled reduce the baking time.
Frost and decorate cookies when cool.
